SUMMARYEmployees in Mine Support perform a variety of duties to support general mining and production activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Build Roads* Cut down road to hard bottom.* Spread road rock across road surface.* Apply dust suppressant.* Repair Roads* Grade roads to smooth them, pulling material in from the sides.* Apply dust suppressant.* Dust suppression of roads as needed.* Follow established schedule to build and maintain roads.* Muck sump.* Tram sump muck.* Maintain and repair sprinkler systems.* Operate heavy equipment, including road grader.* Deliver supplies to underground mine crews, including loading and unloading of supplies.* Operate service equipment, loaders, fork lifts, and haul trucks underground.* Housekeeping: including tasks such as shoveling, picking up trash or debris, etc. to ensure a safe work area.* Operate hand and/or power tools to make minor repairs or for maintenance activities.* Perform equipment/facility inspection and minor maintenance.* Communicate using the squawker, station bells, work bells, pager phone, and leaky feeder radio.* Participate in Risk Assessment activities as required.* Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as required.* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.QUALIFICATIONS* High school graduate or equivalent.* Basic computer skills preferred.* Proven safe work record required.* Excellent attendance history required.* Willingness to work in team-based environment required.
